The Footwear Research Center offers connections with experts and state-of-the-art equipment. It consists of three specialized departments: the Department of Advanced Footwear Materials and Technologies, the Department of Footwear Design and Construction, and the Department of Accredited Testing Laboratories.

The center provides comprehensive services and facilities for the footwear industry. It offers, e.g., an Accredited Footwear Testing Laboratory for footwear testing and evaluation. Furthermore, it specializes in the development of innovative footwear materials and technologies and the implementation of 3D and smart technologies in footwear production. The center also focuses on the development of special footwear (e.g., diabetic) and education in the footwear sector. It has modern laboratories, including a Footwear Laboratory for prototype preparation, a 3D printing laboratory for the production of lasts and components, a Microbiological Laboratory, and a Laboratory for the Diagnostics of the Locomotor Apparatus, which specializes in the analysis of foot function.
