Regional Development Agency

The Regional Development Agency (ZRIA) is one of the key players in the development of modern business, investment, and education in the Zlín region. It connects education, infrastructure, urban development, and entrepreneurship, thus preparing an ideal environment not only for investors but also for local and international talents. It creates conditions that enable people in the Zlín Region to live locally but operate and work globally.

It manages the Strategic industrial zone in Holešov (one of the largest development areas in the Czech Republic). For investors interested in entering this zone, it prepares comprehensive services and provides cooperation to all others interested in doing business or seeking business partners in the region. It participates in the preparation of other important development areas, such as the Malenovice zone or the area of the former Bata factories and their revitalization.

It intensively collaborates on developing Tomas Bata University, introducing new fields of study, and building international academic relations. It supports new and modern fields. It intensely connects education with the semiconductor business, as 80 percent of this sector in the Czech Republic operates in the Zlín Region, including the largest producer – Onsemi.
